This site aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This page records what has actually been checked and what is still open, rather than claiming blanket conformance.
What has been done
- Contrast was measured, not eyeballed. Every rendered text element was swept programmatically and checked against its real composited background at its real size and weight, using the 4.5 to 1 and 3.0 to 1 thresholds as applicable.
- The opening sequence is optional and cannot trap you. The home page opens on a short film of the dining room. One scroll, one tap, or any key releases it, and there is a Skip intro button in the corner. If the video does not load or autoplay is blocked, the page simply appears already settled. The settled page is the resting state, so nothing depends on the film finishing.
- Reduced motion is honoured. Turning on "reduce motion" in your operating system replaces the film with a still photograph, removes every animation, and leaves the page unlocked from the first paint.
- Phones never load the film. On a narrow screen the page shows a framed still instead, so there is no large download and no motion.
- Keyboard. Every link and control is reachable by keyboard in a logical order, focus is always visible, and a skip link is the first thing in the tab order. Tab does not dismiss the opening sequence, so you can reach the Skip intro button with the keyboard.
- Structure. One h1 per page, headings in order, landmark elements, and a language attribute on the document.
- Images. Every photograph has alt text describing what is actually in the frame. The film is decorative, carries no information that is not also in the text, has no audio track, and is hidden from assistive technology.
- Zoom and reflow. The layout reflows to a single column and remains usable at 320px wide and at 200 percent zoom without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
- Ordering happens off site. Online ordering runs through SpotOn, a separate site with its own accessibility position. We cannot make guarantees about it. If ordering online is difficult for you, the restaurant takes orders by phone.
- Maps are a link, not an embed. Following the map link takes you to Google Maps, whose controls and contrast are set by Google. The full address is given as plain text beside it, so no information is available only through the map.
- No assistive technology audit yet. The checks above are automated sweeps and manual keyboard testing. This site has not yet been tested end to end with a screen reader by someone who uses one daily. That is a real gap and it is listed here rather than papered over.
If something does not work for you
Tell us and we will fix it. Call 720-910-1755, email ayayaytacobar2@gmail.com, or come by 2845 28th St in Boulder. If a page is blocking you, describing the page and what happened is enough, and you do not need to identify the technology you use.
